Today we commemorate the 106th anniversary of the death of King Rudolf Douala Manga Bell, affectionately called Tet’Ekombo (King of Kings). King Rudolf was executed by German authorities for standing up against oppressive colonial rule in 1914 at the start of WWI. THE GERMAN KING is a film by Adetokumboh M'Cormack about the last days of this extraordinary man’s life.
