Going to New York City always reminds me of all the trips I took there in high school (with one of my parents by my side) for modeling jobs. I’d get out of school for a day, trade my school uniform for designer clothes, and get my hair and makeup done. Doing these trips is how I fell in love with NYC.
10 years later and I still get so excited to go to the big city to perform (in a different way now). Tomorrow I’ll be at bandier Bond to meet hundreds of other girls and women in sport who have come together under the
#FastBraidFriday movement (invite link in bio). Then I’ll take on some of the fastest women in the country on the track at usatf Indoor Nationals. Both my parents will be there supporting me in chasing my dreams. Nothing has changed there! ❤️
I’ve come a long way in the last 10 years in knowing who I am, what I stand for, and what really matters to me. I’m just glad that 16-year-old me took an unexpected turn down this road because I’m having so much fun!
