I had the wrong impression of Myanmar. I came to this country with low expectations and left realizing how underrated certain parts of this country are. To be clear I do not support what the government is doing, but neither do some of the locals that I met. I completely understand if you do not want to come here because of the conflict and I respect that. That being said I highly recommend coming here once you feel that the government has changed its current trajectory and is looking after all of its people. The Temples and Pagodas are everywhere, and walking around them makes you realize how beautiful and individualized each one is. 10/10 would recommend going to Bagan! *The last photo is something I’ve never seen before (not trying to be click bait).
