WOW! As cheesy as it sounds, words really can’t describe the magic of walking through the red Torii gates. These gates represent the transition from the mundane to the sacred and are typically found near the entrance of a Shinto shrine. After waking up at 5:30am, navigating our way through the dark subway system, we arrived at the base of the mountain. @morganb.h and I were fortunate enough to be hiking up while the snow was still falling.
