Meet today's Firstie Friday - C1C Shelby Wood, who grew up right in our backyard of Monument, Colorado! 🏔️ Shelby is majoring in Physics and will attend pilot training upon graduation. ✈️ She knew she wanted to join the military to serve and her family ties to #usafa made it very compelling. Not only did her father graduate from here, but so did her grandfather and uncle! She is very proud to continue the #longblueline and these three men have inspired her to always strive to be better. Her favorite memory while being here was Ring Dance weekend because it was a fun celebration, signifying the "beginning of the end" of her time at the Academy. She could see all her hard work starting to come to fruition. Her advice to cadets?
