Today we celebrate the beautiful artwork in our KeyBank State Theatre lobby. The four murals, by James Daugherty circa 1921, each display a vibrant scene inspired by the continents of Africa, America, Asia and Europe. • These historical works of art were featured on the cover of the iconic LIFE magazine in 1970, bringing public attention to our then abandoned theater and in turn helping to save it from demolition.
