As the son of a Vietnam veteran, I have always taken #veterans issues personally. While serving on the Veterans' Affairs Committee, I have fought tirelessly to support our veterans and their families. I’m proud to report that several of my bills to help our veterans have passed the House this year, including the VA Tele-Hearing Modernization Act. This bill will allow our vets to attend appeals hearings from the comfort of their homes through video conference instead of driving all the way to Columbia. But I am most excited about the Blue Water Navy Veterans Act, a bill I cosponsored, which expands much-needed treatment to veterans exposed to Agent Orange and was signed into law this year by President Trump.
