He was a nobody up against a somebody. He needed to raise 2 million to stand a chance. A Democrat hadn’t held this seat in 4 decades and the district was drawn to favor a Republican by 10+ points. We had a baby, sold our home, quit jobs and quite literally bled, sweat and cried this campaign for nearly 2 years. We snapped this pic outside the House Chamber before walking in.
