This Mother’s Day is different. Amanda’s first as a mother, which makes it a particularly special one for our family. I’ve always called my own mom in prior years on this day to thank her. For everything. For raising five boys on a (thin) shoestring budget while starting her own small business. This year, I get to heap praise upon my wife and the mother of our son, Boone. Praise for being everything and everywhere. The journey from pregnancy through childbirth and into newfound motherhood has presented its challenges. The amount of patience and grace she has put on display in just the last three months with Boone can not be overstated. All while running a business and being a supportive wife to a husband working a full-time job and running a full-time campaign. And she makes it look easy. And, yet, she’s not even alone.
