Bahati with male impala kill. When we found Bahati one afternoon with a fresh kill in thick cover we hoped that she might bring her young cubs to feed on it. As the light began to fade she dragged the kill to another thicket to try to stash it safely in a tree - away from lions and hyenas who would steal the kill if she left it on the ground.
