Africa | The adorable springbok are agile leapers. These long-legged desert dwellers often go into bouts of high leaps known as pronking (based on the Afrikaans word prone, which means “to show off”). While they are pronking, springbok leap into the air many limes while keeping their legs still and arching their backs. No one knows why they do this, but we guess it has something to do with excitement or nerves.
