Red Panda. Despite its name, it’s not closely related to the panda. They do eat a lot of bamboo though! It makes up around 90% of their diet. Another similar trait with the panda – it has an enlarged wrist bone that acts kind of like a thumb which makes grasping bamboo easier. Red pandas are arboreal, meaning most of their time is spent in trees. Unfortunately, red pandas are listed as endangered by the IUCN.
