The surf industry lost something yesterday that has been very special for 53 years. Surfing Magazine wasn’t just a magazine, they were a group of cohesive individuals all talented in different ways that would come together every month and make an issue that had people running to their mailboxes. They made people inspired to go out and live their dreams. I started reading Surfing at a young age because of the way they portrayed the “surf lifestyle,” and it's part of what made me dedicate my life to becoming a professional surfer. Looking back now at 21, I am so grateful in so many ways to have experienced those trips throughout the years and for the memories we made together.
