When I was a kid I went down to the Lowers WCT event and was freaking out getting all my favorite surfers autographs. The only person I really cared about getting was #andyirons though. He was my favorite. So I waited all day for his heat to come up and when he was running up the beach to paddle out for his heat I snuck up behind him and asked him for his autograph. He looked at me with a serious face and said,"I got a job to do real quick, but I promise after my heat I'll sign that hat for you." Sure enough, paddled out and absolutely waxed the guy he was surfing against, went up into the competitors area and changed out of his wetsuit and literally hunted me down to sign my hat. To this day I have my hat signed by Andy in my room and whenever anybody asks me for a signature I think of Andy. Thanks for being that guy and making the smallest moment of your day one of the most special moments of my life. #andyirons4ever
