Peter Borger (Malvern, Pa.) has been named the a10conference's Performer of the Week for his efforts last week at Pole Green Park. The senior runner set a new course record, finishing the 5-kilometer race with an astounding time of 14:45.8. Borger took first in Saturday's race in a field that featured over 83 runners from the schools of Virginia, George Mason, VCU, Longwood, CNU and MWU. After keeping pace with the front pack for a majority of the race, Borger turned it on over the final 800 meters.
