Senior distance specialist Marisa Ruskan has been knocking on the door of doing something special all season long and over the weekend at the Captains Classic she did just that, earning the nod for Richmond's Wells Fargo Athlete of the Week as a result. Ruskan shattered the track record for the 1500M, knocking a full three seconds off the record to pick up the win in 4:23.85. Down the stretch she managed to hold off the hard charging and previous record holder, Regan Rome of William & Mary who finished just .04 seconds behind Ruskan. - This is just the latest in a string of great finishes for Ruskan who has been instrumental in the Spiders securing back-to-back A-10 Cross Country Championships.
