[Take this with a grain of salt; I'm not a professional player throwing rockets at the wall.] Before I took this picture I dropped a ball in just to show where it sits in the pocket. The ball sits just under the bottom rolled shooter during the wind-up, and the release on shots and passes has not changed at all since I strung it. The mesh softens a little bit when you stretch it out and string it, but it feels and plays like a semi-hard mesh when you cradling.
