More than 1.3 million counterfeit pills — most of them containing deadly fentanyl — were seized in Oregon in 2021. Kids are dying from a lack of information. 35% of American teens (ages 13-17) don’t know enough about fentanyl to rate its danger. That's why we're hosting a Community Conversation about the issue. Our panel will include substance abuse and mental health experts, as well as families affected by this epidemic. The event will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the District Administrative Office at 1260 NW Waterhouse Avenue in Beaverton. It will also be livestreamed on our district YouTube channel. KOIN's Jenny Hansson will moderate. If you'd like to request interpretive services for this event, please call our Multilingual Department by May 11 at 503-356-3755. Please plan to attend or watch with your children! #FakeandFatal #BSDtogether #LetsBeEngaged #JustSayKNOW
