Today is National Fentanyl Awareness Day. Fentanyl is odorless, tasteless, cheap and deadly. It's often found in fake pills disguised as Oxycontin, Percocet, Xanax and Vicodin, which teens are purchasing via social media.
Want to learn more? Join us for our upcoming Community Conversation about the deadly fentanyl epidemic. Our panel will include substance abuse and mental health experts, as well as families affected by the epidemic.
The event will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the District Administrative Office at 1260 NW Waterhouse Avenue in Beaverton. KOIN's Jenny Hansson will moderate. It will also be livestreamed on our district YouTube channel.
Please plan to attend or watch with your children!
