CLASS SPOTLIGHT: Ceramics Students will learn basic hand-building techniques to create both functional and non-functional works. This foundational class introduces students to the materials, tools, and techniques of working with clay. The basics of wheel0thrown ceramics, including glazing and firing methods, will be taught as time permits. Historical and cultural aspects of three-dimensional art will be integrated into the curriculum. Students will learn conceptualization skills, problem-solving, and proper studio habits.
