He then attended Portland State University where he played Football and also competed in Track & Field. As an All-Conference Defensive Lineman, he participated in two D-II National Championships Games. After completing a Degree in Exercise Science he came to BHS as a Track coach in ‘90 and joined the football staff the following year. Later, he earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education, becoming a teacher at Beaverton in 1994. He has been the head coach for the Beavers for 15 years, earning Metro Coach of the Year five times.
