Jordan and I got in the car before the sun came up this morning to go march with 40,000 others through Austin. It was nothing short of incredible. Seeing so many people, in one spot, coming together. Fighting for equality, standing as one. Channeling all of the rage, sadness, disappointment. Walking with the crowd, hearing the chants, the waves of cheers, to clapping from onlookers, the feeling of unity all day today, might have had me tearing up as I moved through the crowd. Sometimes you can't separate the emotions from the photography. But I'm upset and overjoyed today. Upset by the sequence of events that led us here today, but overjoyed to see so many people together marching as one.
