People always knock the seemingly incessant mantra of film photographers of it changing your workflow, your approach, your vision. It's so very, very true. In some way, knowing that you only have 10, 12, 16, 36 frames before you pretty much stop shooting entirely for at least a few seconds, if not minutes, completely changed my approach. I become infinitely more patient (something my Nannie has always told me is a virtue, but that I struggle with constantly). I will sit and wait on a single moment instead of snap a few frames, sprint to the other end of the stage, snap a few more frames. It makes me more methodical, it makes me see my compositions a bit differently. It's just rad. Sometimes, the timing is a smidge off and you miss *that* moment, but sometimes you nail it.
