stephen harrison // the chariot // atlanta pentax 67ii // 105 2.4 // tri-x // processed and scanned by @indiefilmlab While I was out on Warped this summer I made a few portraits on the old Pentax 67. The camera is heavy, slow, older, only has 10 frames/roll, but it is hands down my favorite camera to look at scans from. Indie does a hell of a job doing the camera and film justice. I nabbed this of Stephen just before Beartooth went on in ATL and just after a quick fun little shoot with him, @jonnyemerick and @forevercrossingtheline. I don't know why, but I'm always drawn to portraits where the subject almost feels like they're just staring straight through the lens at me, the viewer. Whether it's my work or that of photographers like Martin Schoeller (who have SUPERB work). It just carries a weight…an intensity…that pulls me in.
