It was a pretty massive part of my life and I gained so much every time I laced up my skates (even if it was never much more than house league/rec type play) or just went out with my dad to catch Modano and Zubov, or the Lydwig twins playing a high school game. But for some silly reasons, I stopped skating before my sophomore year of high school and distanced myself pretty heavily from the game. After starting at SMU, I wound up getting a pair of free tickets to a preseason game against St. Louis and took my now wife to watch. My first game in years, and her first game ever.
