Cody @codydresser and I met up around Christmas every year for 3 or so years to knock out some portraits. It gave me time to learn new equipment and techniques in a pretty low pressure environment, on top of getting to hang out with a great friend. I think this photo was taken in the winter if 2008, maybe 2009. I still had my studio lights (err, at this point light - I had one AB800 and a beauty dish and found myself staring at Platon's portraiture regularly. I so desperately wanted to emulate his work). Also, this photo is an outtake from the same shoot as the image that ran in popular photography.
