Good morning from fairmontsonoma ✨The perfect place to slow down and relax. I was texting with a friend the other day and they asked how it feels not to be in a classroom this year. And my first reaction was to tell them that it’s been good but that I need to start hustling more. Be more productive. You know the productivity shame spiral. And their response — as probably my most productive friend — was really comforting and honestly freeing to me. “Part of the process is slowing down.” She said. “You’ll be ready to get into gear at just the right moment” And I have felt that way too, of course. I’ve probably talked about it a lot here. But it felt like maybe I was just being too easy on myself. Sometimes you just need to hear things from someone else’s perspective. Someone you trust. Remember again that trusting the process includes slowing down. Go slow to go fast like I always used to tell my students. And now, here, I’m taking that advice seriously. #FairmontSonoma #Th...
