There are a few new people around here who are probably wondering what National Park this is. If you guessed Math Park, you are correct :) You see, I am not a full time traveler. I am a full time middle school math teacher, part time traveler. I spend my days surrounded by 12 year olds and my Tuesday's wearing whimsical dresses. This is one part of my life, just like travel, and friends, and hobbies are other parts of it. ⁣ ⁣ One of the strange things about teaching is the observations. Depending on the school, you may get observed once every day or once every year — I've experienced both — without warning. I was at a school once that emphasized the idea that the observation was "just a snapshot" — they were aware that things happened before and after. That they didn't know the whole story. They'd assume positive intentions for the incredible amount of information they missed. ⁣ ⁣ This was so comforting. Because of course the 5, 10, or even 20 minutes they saw wasn't the whole story.
