As a teacher, I spend a lot of time thinking about goals. Objectives. The why. Why are we doing this? Why are we learning _____? And for a long time it was only future focused. We are doing this to prepare for the test. For high school. For college. To set up the next generation for success. And we are doing all of these things. We are.
But what does that mean for right now? Is it all just a transition? Is it all leading to something else? Well, maybe. But I don't think about it that way anymore. In school or in life.
