People ask me a lot how I have the time/money to constantly travel. Well, I manage it because that's not what I do. So if you didn't know, I have a job. Haha -- I am a middle school math teacher. So, like, surrounded by 12 and 13 year olds all day. For 9 years now. 😳 . . I think the interpretation people have of Instagram travel is that people are just out there taking windswept photos on mountain tops full time. And maybe they are -- but I'm definitely not. And while I know I don't want to be a teacher forever, it adds so much value to my life that a windswept photo on a mountain top couldn't. . . Like this cactus. I was having a bad day earlier this year and these two little 12 year old boys brought it in from recess for me. They got some serious punctures in their hands from this wild cactus -- but they knew I liked them and wanted to bring it to me. That's special. It's rewarding. So I may not be waking up in some National Park every day -- but that's okay. It doesn't have to be ...
