#HappyBirthday to our paesano, Alberto Tomba! Alberto Tomba was born on December 19th, 1966 in San Lazzaro di Savena in of Emilia-Romagna. He is a former World Cup alpine ski racer from Italy. He was the dominant technical skier (slalom and giant slalom) in the late 1980s and 1990s. Tomba won three Olympic gold medals, two World Championships, and nine World Cup season titles: four in slalom, four in giant slalom, and one overall title.
