I started playing when I was 2. I played outside in the street using a trash can 🗑 as my hoop until my mom saved up enough money to buy me a court. And even then the court was in dirt and patches of grass bc we didn’t have enough $ for concrete. The courts in my neighborhood were not that great. There was always a lot of drugs and gang activity in the park so it really wasn’t ideal/safe to play there.
