This post is to shout out to #therealheroes - all the doctors all over the world, who are working day and night to help getting COVID-19 under control. My special thanks go out to Prof. Ivana Maida, who is a professor of viral deseases in Sassari (Sardinia) and who has been helping in the battle against Covid-19 since it came to Italy. 14 hour shifts, endless sleepless nights, physical and mental exhaustion are the challenges she and many of her colleagues have been facing for weeks, even months now. And there’s always that fear of giving the virus to her own family when she finally returns home from work.
