I took my time posting this because I wanted to showcase as many illustrators as possible and because this is extremely important I didn’t want to leave anything out in this caption. I understand my platform is mostly lighthearted and fun, but I would be doing a disservice by not speaking on important issues. I want to start with an introduction since everyone around the world follows this account and I would like to explain in detail why this matters: - #BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to Trayvon Martin’s murder. The movement is to eradicate white supremacy and stop the violence and crime against Black communities. The mission also highlights on Black excellence and wants to ensure Black communities are consistently improving and winning. Each illustration I have posted shows an individual that was murdered by law enforcement (motives of hate/white supremacy) and no consequences/responsibility was given to those murders.
