This is the piano that we used to record all of the piano tunes on our most recent album. It’s known as “firewood” within certain communities. A few years ago I asked my piano tuner in Denver what he thought of this piano and he paused for a moment and then looked me straight in the eye and said “Pardner, firewood!” I’ve taken this as a name of endearment, even a badge of honor. It’s not the best sounding piano but it’s by and large one of the most unique piano sounds I’ve ever heard in my life and is my favorite. During this downtime I may try and record a few covers of music that greatly influenced me when I was younger.
