This week, we are recognizing the recipients of this year's Outstanding Student Award. These uofmemphis School of Health Studies students were selected by our faculty as exhibiting strong leadership, character and scholarship, and who play an active role in departmental activities.⁣ ⁣ Our first recipient is Aareon Carter (Ace), a junior from Fort Wayne, Indiana majoring in physical education teacher education. While obtaining his master’s degree is an educational goal, teaching children about the benefits and enjoyment of physical education is where his passion lies.
