Sierra-at-Tahoe will be closed Sunday, January 22, 2017. After checking multiple forecasts and speaking with the National Weather Service, who is advising everyone to not travel, we believe that the best call for everyones safety is to suspend operations for tomorrow. Your safety is our primary concern. Forecasts have winds exceeding 100 mph throughout the day, causing low visibility on the mountain and roads. Blizzard like conditions are forecasted as well with snow accumulation of 4-6 feet in less than a twenty four hour time period. The intensity of this weather event will likely impact the entire Tahoe basin. We will have crews at the resort working around the clock to prepare the mountain for when we feel it’s safe to reopen. We will keep you updated on our website and on all our social channels. Stay safe. | #sadface #shaqstorm
