Nice Assist! The Girls’ MS Soccer B team got a nice chance to work with some guest coaches this week, with assistance from Head of School Matt Glendinning and Athletics Director AJ Kizekai on Mann Field on Tuesday. Not deterred by the rain, AJ and Matt were clearly excited to work with students on their soccer game. While AJ is well known in the athletics sphere (he played indoor soccer growing up and is a fan of women’s soccer), and has coached football and track, he was happy to get onto the pitch to help students. While many know Matt Glendinning as the head of school, he’s as comfortable on the MB soccer field as he is in his Middle House office. Matt started playing soccer at age 6 in his hometown of Waterville, Maine. Except during the past 18 months of the pandemic, there has never been a time in the 50 years since then that he has not played on a soccer team.
