Summer=science at IUP! Another student participating in the Research Experience for Summer Scholars (RESS), Geoscience major Ashley Miller, is doing research on the effects of wastewater discharge from natural gas fracking into freshwater streams. She has taken core samples from the bottom of nearby Blacklick Creek and is running test on the cores, hoping to discover the long term effects of fracking on local streams.
