In 1967, Nike’s first employee Jeff Johnson opened the first ever Nike retail space, Blue Ribbon Sports, at 3107 Pico Blvd in Santa Monica. Fifty years later, he returned to hand off the keys to BRS’ new manager, John Jefferson. Today, we reopen the doors with the same mission, to serve athletes. BRS was the original crazy dream.
