As a double major in film and environmental studies, Gabriella Robinson, ’23, aspires to address climate change, racism and environmental injustices through film. In the video series “OUR HOME?” Robinson interviewed fellow students about how climate change has impacted their lives.
“I created my climate series as a catalyst for climate change awareness,” says Robinson. “Using a medium such as film helps string these conversations together and convey to those who may feel furthest from climate change’s effects that they are also in harm’s way. Sparking conversations is one thing, but as soon as everyone acknowledges their personal impacts are when things start to change.
“I am so inspired by the natural drive and passion that my fellow Redhawks have. Our Ignatian-based reflection enables us to think critically and ask so many ‘why’ questions that steer us closer to the direction of our dreams.”
