2. Assistant Professor of Geography Sandy Marshall teaches his Human Geography class in an outdoor tent at the Lindner amphitheater. In an effort to promote physical distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Elon erected 10 large tents across campus to provide space for open-air classrooms, dining and meetings.
3. Hannah Giessler ’23 dances in a mask and physically distanced from her classmates during her Ballet 3 class with Associate Professor of Dance Jen Guy Metcalf. Classes were held in person during the fall semester, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, room capacity was limited, physical distancing was required and face coverings were mandatory throughout campus.
