#blackouttuesday. Don’t just post a black square on your feed for optics and then step away from social media for the day. While “on pause,” read, research, learn, lean in. Listen to your Black friends. Really listen. Read books by Black authors, read books about racism and white supremacy. (“White Fragility” is a great start.) Engage in work by Black creators. Support small businesses owned by BIPOC. Step away to do the work elsewhere. I’m not preaching at you, I’m doing this WITH you. Get uncomfortable. Let’s do this. And PLEASE, make sure you are registered to vote long before November 3. Racism and white supremacy have no place in our world, in our country, in our government, in the White House. 🖤
