We were only 20 minutes into today’s live show when I realized I was hurting. My cheeks. From smiling. Today has been the most special day. I’ve made more friends and shared more hugs than any other day in my life. I got to meet and share a stage with five incredible women. I got to do a live show at the U.S. Olympic Trials. This first photo — I can’t believe the incomparable judidonnelly captured this moment between sarahccummings, jenny_donn, ladiahallie, amandarunsboston, runnerkg, and me. We spent 45 minutes talking, and it was the first time I’ve ever felt totally unaware of the fact that we were doing a live podcast. I was so engrossed in their stories. Their “whys.” Jenny and Ladia made me cry. Amanda and Kaitlin inspired me. Sarah reminded us all of the incredible power of the running community. And this hug at the end.
