1:55:24 at the #PopularBKHalf! It went exactly as I expected! I went out fast, loved the out-and-back, dreaded the hill in Prospect Park, remembered it’s not actually that bad, made a bathroom stop before heading out onto Ocean Parkway, and then slowly melted the rest of the way out to Coney Island. I got a wicked side-stitch cramp right at mile 12 and had to walk it in for the last mile. But look who was at the finish! (And agreed to pace me to a 5K PR this year, right, runmeb?!) Another gorgeous, grateful day on the run. Congratulations, runners, and big thanks to the nyrr staff and volunteers for a wonderful event, as always! POSITIVE SPLITS FOR POSITIVE PEOPLE.
