18 weeks! I always assumed that if I were ever pregnant, I’d feel miserable. My body and I historically have not gotten along, so I figured I’d be sick and swollen and hating my growing body from day one. Instead, so far, this pregnancy has given me the ultimate confidence boost. I’ve found myself acting unapologetically and putting myself out there in ways I didn’t when I was flying solo. I feel more focused, I’m working harder, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude every single day. It’s cool! (Also, after Sunday’s half marathon, I swear my stomach quadrupled in size. Is that science? Why did it look and feel so much bigger after running for a while?! Was the little artichoke just stretching out in there? Or trying to escape in hopes of finally getting some peace and quiet?
