So I was sick for a while. Then I started to get better! Then the past few weeks were kinda crappy again. One thing I've learned from having Crohn's disease is to roll with it all as best I can. That means fighting (or crying...) through the bad days and basking in the good ones. Based on how I felt last night, I thought today was going to be one of the bad ones. But then the sun came out and my stomach settled down, and I decided I wanted to try and run. Fast. I've been running a bit lately, but I haven't pushed it, and today I wanted to push a little. So I made my way down to my favorite oval and did my first track workout since last August! I did 8 x 400, and it felt so hard and so amazing and so satisfying. (I listened to my fave jam, "Brand New Day" from The Wiz, on my last lap and cried happy tears like the sap I am. The last lap was also my fastest.) Still not gonna call it a comeback, but definitely calling today one of the good days.
