Before I got sick (this time around), Ellie and I were going for daily three-mile walks. It was good exercise for both of us — and I had big plans to turn those daily walks into runs — and I loved that unplugged time we got to spend together. But for the past few months, our walks were replaced by school (doggy daycare, whatever), since I didn't have the energy or the intestinal strength to get her the exercise she needed. It's been killing me feeling like I can't take care of my pup, especially since briancristiano is working a billion hours a day and definitely doesn't have time to take Ellie for long walks every day. Today though, I was determined to at least TRY. I suited up hoping maybe we could try to run, but as soon as I stepped outside it was clear my stomach wasn't quite ready for that. So, fine, fail on that end. But we walked our favorite old three-mile route to the track and back, and it was GREAT. My stomach felt fine, I didn't have to drag Ellie into any public restrooms...
