My form was a bit rough by this point ("You look like a T-Rex," my teammate said) and my finishing kick was nonexistent, but this triple-chin-inducing smile was completely legit thanks to the best ever novemberprojectnyc cheer squad at mile 6.1 of today's #mini10k. Marathons and half marathons get a whole lot of love, but man, don't discredit the 10K. Even on a day when I planned to it take easy (my leg felt "weird" yesterday...IDK), 6.2 miles managed to kick my booty straight into a long nap and an entire watermelon. I didn't race all-out today, but I am still sufficiently exhausted and had so much fun on a most beautiful day.
