Cutting during the holidays????
Here’s 3 tips to stay on track:
1.) lower your calories Monday through Wednesday before Thanksgiving. This allows you to create a larger caloric deficit so that even if you do indulge some on Thanksgiving you have already bought yourself some extra room.
2.) Go for a walk after eating. For two reasons. One, it will help burn some calories and increase digestion. But two, and really this is the bigger one, it gets you up and away from the food and allows you to focus on something else.
3.) Eat dessert first! Desserts are high in fat and sugar. This combination turns off the fullness indicators in our bodies and allows to continue eating without the feeling of fullness. Start with desserts. Then the main course. Finish with some veggies, and you’ll feel much more full even on the same amount of food.
